1. Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly: name, email address, phone number, institution affiliation, and academic/professional identifiers (student ID, employee ID). We also collect usage data including project activity, submission history, and access logs.
2. How We Use Your Information
Your data is used to provide the Supervizo service: managing academic projects, facilitating supervisor-student communication, generating progress reports, and sending notifications about deadlines and reviews. We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.
3. Data Retention
We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active. Submission and audit records are retained for 7 years for academic integrity purposes. You may request deletion of personal information at any time from your account settings.
4. Your Rights
You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. You can export all your data from Settings → Export My Data. To delete your account, go to Settings → Danger Zone. For questions, contact your institution administrator.
5. Communications
We send email and SMS notifications about your academic activities. You can manage your notification preferences in Settings → Notification Preferences. All marketing emails include an unsubscribe link.
6. Security
We use industry-standard encryption (bcrypt for passwords, TLS for data in transit) and conduct regular security reviews. Uploaded files are stored with SHA-256 checksums to verify integrity.
